Black and Blue Ahi Sashimi Recipe

2 oz Yellow Fin Tuna — cut in blocks

1/2 tbs cumin
1 tbs oregano
1 tbs thyme — Mix all ingredients
1 tbs dry mustard — together
1 tbs cayenne pepper
1 tbs black pepper
1 tbs paprika

Mustard Sauce:
6 oz Grey Poupon Mustard — Mix all ingredients
3/4 can lite soy sauce — in a bowl. Transfer
1/4 tbs Coleman’s Dry mustard — to a bottle, Shake well.

1 med green bell pepper — sliced julienne styl
1 med red bell pepper — julienned
1/2 med Spanish onion — sliced thin
1 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp white pepper
1/2 tsp salt
3 tbs olive oil

* Heat olive oil in saucepan, combine all ingredients, saute for one – two minutes.
* Preparation of all tuna:
Season the yellow fin tuna with spices on all four sides.
* Sear tuna on all four sides in a pre-heated hot pan with 4 tbs. of olive oil. Slice the cooked tuna 1/4 of an inch thick.
* Place the sliced tuna on a dinner plate spreading the tuna from one end of the plate to the other. Place the cooked vegetables next to the tuna with the mustard sauce in the corner.
